Navigating the Help Docs
Once you understand its structure, the CloudFiles Knowledge Base becomes intuitive and easy to navigate. This article provides an overview of the Knowledge Base, its tabs, and how they are organized. We also include a step-by-step example to help you find answers efficiently.
The Knowledge Base follows a four-level structure: tabs, categories, articles, and headings. With the top navbar, left sidebar, and right sidebar, you can easily navigate through these levels to find the exact solution you need.

At the top of this page, you'll find five tabs. Right now, you're on the Home tab, which contains information about the Knowledge Base. The other four tabs cover details about the CloudFiles product.

The Knowledge Base is organized into four tabs: Salesforce, HubSpot, Web App, and API Reference—each representing a key way CloudFiles enables file sharing and automation.
CloudFiles provides a Salesforce managed package available on AppExchange, enabling deep integration with Salesforce through LWCs, flow actions, templates, platform events, and custom objects. For a complete guide, visit our CloudFiles – Salesforce Knowledge Base.
CloudFiles offers a native HubSpot app, available on all HubSpot tiers through the HubSpot Marketplace. It provides powerful file access, sharing, analytics, and automation features via widgets, workflow components, list filters, and more. For a complete guide, visit our CloudFiles – HubSpot Knowledge Base.
In addition to our CRM integrations, CloudFiles offers a web application accessible at app.cloudfiles.io. While essential for non-CRM users, it's also useful for HubSpot and Salesforce users—some admin, billing, and setup functions are only available through the web app.
For a detailed guide on all features, visit our CloudFiles Web-App Knowledge Base. Many of these articles are also referenced in the HubSpot & Salesforce Knowledge Bases, as the same features are available through our integrations.
CloudFiles automations can typically be implemented using Salesforce flows and HubSpot workflows. However, for non-CRM users or those needing more flexibility, we offer a detailed REST API and JavaScript SDK. Find all the details in our API Reference Section.
Inside each tab, you'll find a list of category pages on the left sidebar. Clicking on a category takes you to its page, and expanding it reveals a sub-list of detailed articles for deeper insights.
- Salesforce & HubSpot: Categories are based on integrations with standard CRM components (e.g., Flow Actions for Salesforce, Workflow Actions for HubSpot). Additional categories cover general features, use cases, and quick start guides.
- Web App: Categories are based on app features like storage, sharing, analytics, and automation. These are also referenced in Salesforce & HubSpot articles.

Articles are the final and most detailed source of information. Some can be quite long—like this one, which takes over 5 minutes to read.
To help you navigate quickly, each article includes a Table of Contents (TOC) listing all headings and subheadings. This allows you to jump directly to the section that answers your question. (See the next section for an example.)
Each article is structured with headings and subheadings, which are listed in the right sidebar as a Table of Contents (TOC). This allows you to quickly navigate through the content.
For example, in this article, you’ll see a TOC on the right side—use it to jump between sections and find information faster. (See the image below for reference.)

You can share specific sections of an article by hovering over a heading or subheading. Click the anchor icon that appears on the right to generate a custom URL. Simply copy and share the link with your team or stakeholders. (See the image below for reference.)
