Error: “License is required” when clicking Add in the CloudFiles dialogue box.

issue overview in some cases, when working with the cloudfiles widget inside a hubspot record, you may encounter the following error message when attempting to use the “add” button or the “actions” dropdown menu “a license is required please contact your account admin to assign a cloudfiles license to you ” this error indicates that the current user account does not have an active cloudfiles license assigned to their account how to resolve this? to resolve this error, the user must be assigned a valid cloudfiles license from within the cloudfiles webapp please follow the steps below 1\ log in to the cloudfiles webapp a user who already has access to the cloudfiles account and has admin permissions needs to log in to the cloudfiles webapp only admins can manage licenses and user roles 2\ navigate to the ‘team’ sidebar click on the settings (gear icon) from the top right corner, then go to ‘ team’ from the left hand sidebar 3\ check if the user already exists if the user’s email is listed under "users" click on the ellipsis (…) next to their name and select ‘assign license’ you can assign either a user or admin role, depending on the level of access they require if the user’s email is not listed click on the ‘invite’ button, enter their email address, and choose the desired role (user or admin) under the invite screen once the user accepts the invite and logs in, the license should be automatically assigned based on the role selected 4\ return to hubspot and refresh this should remove the license related error and allow full access to cloudfiles functionality inside hubspot
