Installation

The Installation section guides you through setting up CloudFiles Document Generation in your Salesforce org, enabling automated creation and management of business documents. It integrates with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, allowing you to create templates directly within these applications, and supports template-based document generation in .pdf and .docx formats.

This section is divided into two key sub-sections -

The CloudFiles managed package is available on the Salesforce AppExchange. This subsection covers:

  1. Pre-requisites – System Administrator access is required.
  2. Step-by-step installation guide – Instructions for finding CloudFiles on AppExchange and approving third-party access.
  3. Post-installation steps – Configure your CloudFiles account.

Installing CloudFiles provides access to tools and features for AI-powered document processing. This subsection covers:

  1. CloudFiles Lightning App – Available in Salesforce’s App Launcher.
  2. Custom Permissions – Manage user access with predefined roles .
  3. Flow Actions & Components – Automate document processes using Salesforce Flows, CloudFiles Flow Actions and Platform Events.
  4. Apex Support – Extend functionality with custom Apex code.
