Flow Actions

Remove from Community

Introduction

The CloudFiles: Remove from Community flow action allows you to unshare a resource (file or folder) from a Salesforce record. This action is particularly useful when a resource that was previously shared with a Salesforce record and its associated portal users via Experience Cloud needs to be restricted or removed.

Unlike the Share With Community User action, which shares resources, this action reverses the process, ensuring that unshared resources are no longer visible to portal users in the Experience Cloud widget or related Salesforce record widgets.

What this action does

The CloudFiles: Remove from Community action disconnects a resource from a Salesforce record to which it was previously attached. This action removes the file or folder from being displayed in the Experience Cloud widget, effectively revoking access for portal users associated with the record.

For example, an organization might use this action to unshare outdated documents, such as an old proposal or irrelevant datasheets, from client-facing portals, while retaining control over resources for internal teams. This ensures that portal users only have access to the most relevant and current files.
