CloudFiles Settings
The CloudFiles Settings page in Salesforce provides access to account-level configurations and API keys. It includes options for managing authentication methods, controlling how CloudFiles connects with Salesforce, and configuring event delivery and retention settings.
External Client App vs Connected App for CloudFiles integration
CloudFiles connects to Salesforce using OAuth 2.0, with access managed through either a Connected App or an External Client App depending on the organizationβs setup. Both frameworks allow Salesforce to authorize CloudFiles and issue OAuth tokens for secure API access.
How do Experience Cloud Licenses work?
CloudFiles supports all Salesforce Experience Cloud types, including Customer Community, Partner Relationship Management, and External Apps. Community licenses are counted per unique user login each month, not per assigned user. If you exceed your allocated licenses, logins will continue to work, but CloudFiles may contact you to upgrade if overages are frequent.
