Sharing Options
cloudfiles provides multiple ways to share files and folders with experience cloud users these options help control how and when content becomes available to external users, based on business requirements experience cloud supports four sharing methods default sharing , sharing via the content library , sharing via the cloudfiles record widget , and sharing via automation default sharing automatically shares files related to salesforce records with experience cloud users when the default sharing option is enabled sharing via content library cloudfiles allows files and folders to be shared with experience cloud users directly from the content library this option is useful when content needs to be shared outside the context of a salesforce record, such as sharing a library folder with a partner group or a site audience once shared, experience cloud users can access the content from the experience cloud site based on their permissions navigate to the folder or location that contains the file or folder under content library click the dropdown menu for the file or folder you want to share select share in the share with groups field, search for and select the required community group or user click done to complete the sharing action sharing via record allows internal users to manually share files or folders from the cloudfiles widget using the share with community action shared content becomes available through the widget on the corresponding experience cloud page sharing via automation uses the docid 30fg5 yf3wy4nckk3keei flow action to automate sharing of files and folders based on defined business logic for advanced scenarios, the docid\ zognbkhddt mdpaxjaa6d apex client method can be used to enable programmatic sharing with experience cloud users
