experience cloud users can only access cloudfiles content if they have the required cloudfiles permissions assigned this setup ensures external users can view shared folders and files in the experience cloud site and perform only the actions that are allowed for their role cloudfiles provides a dedicated permission set for experience cloud users assigning this permission set is a required step before external users can see any cloudfiles connected folders in the experience cloud widget cloudfiles external users cloudfiles includes a permission set specifically designed for external users this permission set controls access to cloudfiles features for experience cloud users and determines which operations they can perform, such as viewing files, downloading, or uploading, depending on the configuration assigning the permission set to users to allow experience cloud users to access cloudfiles in the experience site, the permission set must be assigned to the intended users go to setup → permission sets select cloudfiles external users open manage assignments and click add assignment select the experience cloud users who need access and complete the assignment once assigned, users can access cloudfiles folders and files that have been shared with them, based on sharing configuration and record visibility customize permission set if you need to control what experience cloud users can do in cloudfiles, you can customize the permission set by modifying the custom permissions assigned to it these permissions determine which operations are available in the cloudfiles widget for external users examples of custom permissions available in the permission set include cldfs allow downloading cldfs upload files cldfs create folder cldfs delete files & folders cldfs share files & folder cldfs view analytics cldfs view sharing settings these options allow you to enable or restrict file and folder operations based on your business requirements
