Introduction
CloudFiles lets you send generated documents for electronic signature without leaving Salesforce. Signing is provided through DocuSign and works for both Word and PDF templates. You connect DocuSign once under Document Generation → Integrations Tab, then set up signing on your template, and CloudFiles sends the document and returns the signed file to the record.
Sending Documents for Signature
You add one or more recipients and set each one's type, either a Signer who signs the document or a Carbon Copy who receives the completed copy without signing. You then place a signature field for each signer, set the order in which recipients are notified, and apply your own DocuSign branding to the signing email. See Sending Documents for Signature.
Date Signed and Text Fields
Alongside the signature, you can add two more field types to the document. A Date Signed field fills in the signing date automatically, and a Text field lets a signer enter custom text while signing. Each field is assigned to a recipient. See Date Signed and Text Fields.
