FAQs
Why do I see more sites in Salesforce which I generally don't see in SharePoint?
When using CloudFiles in Salesforce, you may notice a longer list of SharePoint sites than what you typically see in the SharePoint interface. This difference occurs because of the following reasons -
- Hidden Sites: Many sites that you have access to in SharePoint are generally hidden in its interface.
- API-Based Access: CloudFiles uses an API call to SharePoint, revealing all sites that you have access to, even if they are hidden in SharePoint's interface.
- Same Access Rights: You already have access to these sites; CloudFiles simply displays them based on your existing permissions.
If you'd like to only see a specific set of sites in CloudFiles, you can register your preferred sites. This allows you to focus only on the sites relevant to your work.
Refer to the image below to see where you can register sites to display only the ones you want in CloudFiles/Salesforce.
