Common Errors & Troubleshootin...
Why are all my users seeing admin settings?
what is the issue? a common concern we get is that all users in an organization are able to see the entire admin panel with all its configuration settings these configurations are ideally meant just for the administrators, and general users should not be able to see or modify them why did this happen? this issue usually arises due to a misconfiguration during the initial installation of the cloudfiles app on salesforce when installing the app, salesforce prompts the installer to choose a user access level if the installer selects “install for all users” instead of “install for admins only”, then all users in the salesforce org are granted admin level access to the cloudfiles app, including visibility of admin specific tabs and settings this option overrides default permission controls, giving every user unintended access to all configuration settings how to rectify the issue? the way to rectify this is to uninstall the cloudfiles app and reinstall again 1\ uninstall cloudfiles to uninstall cloudfiles from salesforce, you need to remove all cloudfiles components/flows and then uninstall the managed package within salesforce deactivate any flows using cloudfiles actions (if applicable) go to setup > flows identify flows that use cloudfiles flow actions and deactivate them also, remove the cloudfiles lwc component from all record pages it’s been added to remove the package go to setup > installed packages locate the cloudfiles managed package click “uninstall” , and on the uninstall page, confirm the removal of all related components 2\ re install cloudfiles to re install, follow the recommended approach after clicking install in sandbox or install in production , salesforce will take you to the installation wizard when prompted to choose a user access level, always select “install for admins only” don't worry, all your users will still be able to access cloudfiles this just allows you to better control permissions and assign the right access using permission sets you can also refer to app specific installation guides for detailed instructions document management | document generation | document ai post installation, you can use the cloudfiles permission sets to assign access to users based on their roles and responsibilities more details regarding the permission sets referenced here
