Common Errors & Troubleshootin...
Why am I seeing a “You need CloudFiles license to access this widget” message?
what is the issue? a common issue users face after setting up cloudfiles in salesforce is that some users are unable to access the cloudfiles widget or lightning components they often see the below error message when trying to interact with it why does this happen? they are unable to use cloudfiles features even though the package is installed and active org wide this can happen due to a few reasons the user has not been registered in cloudfiles yet (or license is not assigned under the 'user management' sidebar) the user’s license status is 'inactive' under the user management tab how to fix this issue? 1\ user not registered for a user to be registered and appear under user management , they must first access any of cloudfiles' lightning web components (lwcs) within salesforce as long as cloudfiles is installed, the user simply needs to click on the widget placed on any record page this interaction automatically registers the user in cloudfiles, making them visible in the user management tab 2\ license status is 'inactive' once registered, the admin needs to activate their license by navigating to the cloudfiles app > document management/generation/ai tab > user management, and toggling their license status from ‘inactive’ to ‘active’ , and click on save please refer to our article on license management for more details
