Through Link Defaults settings, CloudFiles allows you to configure following shared link related settings.

The image below shows what this setting looks like in the CloudFiles App.

When files are shared externally using CloudFiles generated links, CloudFiles needs to cache the file temporarily before showing it to the end user. This is important for performance reasons. This caching is done on CloudFiles owned storages.

In default case, when this toggle is off, files are cached in CloudFiles owned storage on a temporary basis to decrease loading time and to ensure faster file availability.

This setting, when toggled on, allows users to fetch files directly from the source such as Sharepoint, Google or other integrations, eliminating the need of caching files to CloudFiles owned storage on temporary basis.

Enabling this setting would negatively impact the loading time of the files.
