Use a set when the information for one record is spread across several documents, such as an application form, a proof of ID and a supporting statement for one applicant.
How a Set Is Processed
A set can combine five types of files: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and images. Each file can be up to 25 MB. Document Mapper reads the files as one input and creates one CloudFiles DocAI Run for the set, and each extracted value records the document it came from.
When the same value appears in more than one document, name the document in the fieldβs prompt, for example βthe applicantβs date of birth from the proof of IDβ.
Where to Use a Set
- Configuration builder: create a set in the preview pane and test the configuration against it. See Document Mapper Setup.
- Salesforce Flow: pass the documents to the Document Mapper action through its Resources input. The Flow can be launched from a record list page or a record detail page. See Document Mapper (Flow action).
Review a Set Run
When a set run is sent to the review queue, a Document set dropdown above the preview opens each document in the set, so each value can be checked against the document it came from. Approve & Write to Salesforce writes the one record from all the documents. Reprocess runs every document in the set again.
