Introduction

CloudFiles Document Generation provides a complete set of capabilities to design, populate, generate from HubSpot CRM data. The Features section of the documentation walks through each stage of the document lifecycle, from template creation to data handling, generation and eSignature.

This section is organized into five key subsections, each covering a core part of the CloudFiles workflow.

  • Design Studio: In this section we focus on building and managing document templates using the CloudFiles Office Add-in. It explains how to create templates in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, insert dynamic fields and content, preview templates with live HubSpot data, and apply formatting to control how data appears in generated documents.
  • Data Orchestration: This section explains how data flows into templates from HubSpot. It covers how CloudFiles accesses HubSpot records, which objects and fields are supported, how resources are created to fetch related or repeatable data and how template actions apply this data to generate structured documents.
  • Template Control Center: This section provides a centralized view to manage and monitor all document templates created using CloudFiles Document Generation
  • Generating Documents: This section covers how published templates are used to create documents from HubSpot records. It explains manual document generation using the Doc-Generation widget and outlines upcoming support for automated document generation through HubSpot workflows
  • eSignature Integration: This section explains how CloudFiles integrates with DocuSign to enable end-to-end document signing. It covers setting up the DocuSign integration, defining recipients, placing signature and input fields in templates, and routing generated documents for signing directly from HubSpot.
