Enable Data Consent and Privacy Compliance for File Views with CloudFiles

Data privacy and compliance are critical in today's digital environment. This tutorial will provide step-by-step instructions on how to set up data collection consent and ensure your privacy policy is easily accessible to your users.

By the end of this tutorial, you can expect to -

  1. Enable end-user data collection consent to inform users before they provide personal information.
  2. Display a Privacy Policy link at the bottom of the CloudFiles viewer for easy access by users.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to the CloudFiles Dashboard from any HubSpot contact record.
  2. Select Settings in the top-right corner.
  3. Under Accounts, choose Compliances.
  4. Toggle on Enable end-user data collection consent.
  5. Create a clear, explicit consent statement for end users to agree to before entering personal information (e.g., email). Include a reference to the NDA and provide a link to it.
  6. Add a link to the Privacy Policy, ensuring it’s visible at the bottom of the CloudFiles viewer for easy access by end users.
