Setting Custom Sub-Domain for your account

2min

Your content is your personal or business property. The CloudFiles viewer is just a medium for you to transfer your content to your recipients. So it is important for you to customize your domain to your brand name to ensure your recipients resonate with your brand.

This article talks about changing the sub-domain of your links, e.g. https://yourcompany.cloudfiles.to/slug. If you'd instead like to change the full domain, e.g. to https://docs.yourdomain.com/slug, refer to @custominstead.

To set your sub-domain follow the simple steps below -

  1. Login to your CloudFiles team admin account, in the CloudFiles independent app.
  2. Select security option on the left and choose Account.
  3. In the Subdomain option choose the name you want and select okay.

It's important to note that if your subdomain is set once, you cannot change it again on your own. To get your subdomain updated contact us on. Moreover, free plan Users are not allowed to change their sub domain.
